the rupture – kintsugi europe (attempt)
i kept asking myself how one could imagine the unimaginable amount of 6 million people killed. but you can visualise it: if you line up 6 million people, you get a human chain of incredible 3,500 kilometres. this corresponds to the distance bordeaux – moscow. my new work tries to show the systematic killing of 6 million jews as a rupture of europe and at the same time the (helpless?) attempt of a repair.
